Google Base Dashboard Changes March 09

Along with changing Google Base homepage, Google have also made changes to the Google Base Dashboard.

As you will see from the Data Quality Tab below, the addition of Missing Product_Type Values has now been added to the mix and to confuse you that little bit, switched the positioning of the identifiers and conditions. (who knows why?!) Although Product_Type is only an optional attribute currently it does give the suspicion that this may be getting moved up to at least a recommended attribute but that is pure speculation on my part.

Other Changes within your settings are found here under the Default Item Values Tab. This only appears to be for individual posting of items and not for use within a data feed.

and also the FTP Account Tab. Instead of your FTP account details being located on the right side of the page, under “FTP information,” you will now find this information under its own tab in your dashboard.

For now, these changes only appear to be within the single user account, as my multi-client account is yet to change. I believe these are the only changes so far, but will keep you all updated if I stumble across any more.
