// Optimisation & Management – Level 4
Level 4 Optimisation & Management FAQ’s - Prices start at $1000/£680

Your current feed is set up within TOMTHEDEVELOPER’S datafeed management system, Optimisation work is carried out by our Optimisation staff to this feed, we then generate a fresh copy of the feed with the additional work included and upload this to Google Merchant Center on a daily/weekly basis, depending on which best suits your circumstances.Every user of Google Merchant Center can benefit from Level 4 Optimisation, however, some users would prefer to carry out the optimisation work by themselves. If this is your position, may we suggest you take a look at our Level 3 Optimisation Service.

Who would best benefit from Level 4 Optimisation?
Again, everyone can benefit from optimisation in any form, however, what Level 4 allows is freedom for the Google Merchant Center user. Hundreds if not thousands of hours are involved in optimising some feeds, depending on the scale and modification to stock levels. As such, the benefit of providing TomTheDeveloper with this task enables our customer to dedicate this time elsewhere. If you are a novice to Google Merchant Center, Optimisation techniques or simply do not have the time available to concentrate on the task then Level 4 is the best suited option.
Getting Started?
As mentioned above, the customers current feed is imported within our DataFeed Management System. We can carry most formats and can, if requested, work directly from the customers database/back-end system.Before optimisation is carried out a quotation is drawn up for the customers approval, this will detail the optimisation fee along with the monthly management charge. The quotation will also include an approximation on time scale and breakdown of tasks required within each individual feed. Once all is agreed, a contract will be supplied with the works detailed and will reflect that of the quotation.
Optimisation Primary Process?
To allow all future modifications to be added with no detrimental effects to previous changes. TomTheDeveloper’s datafeed management system is currently configured so multiple items may be optimized at one time. The system also highlights changes that are required, this is then passed to the optimization member to gather all relevant information.
Is the work carried out manually?
There are elements of the optimisation process that involve manual editing and obviously the research work is mandatory and this can only be carried out manually. However, development work is well under way to gather information automatically to enhance the optimisation process and limit this manual work. Examples of current optimisation work that runs on a semi/automatic basis is that of product_type mapping, item comparison based on your ID attribute to allow changes you make internally to be reflected within your feed with no damage occurring to our newly added content.
The Optimisation Work?
When we are happy that an exact replica of the feed provided to us is exported from TomTheDeveloper’s system and the research findings have been catalogued, optimization will commence.Optimization has many levels and each of these are carried out in level of importance. Assuming your feed has flagged no immediate errors or concerns, this order is standard procedure and very seldom strays from this with any customer. The optimisation order has been tried and tested to produce the highest results and is as follows
Correcting errors within the current feed – This can be any are error or missing value that must be entered and data quality issues that must be tackled to produce a solid ground to work from.
Modification to current data – To ensure you are using each attribute to the best of its ability.
Correct Categorization – All products will be given their unique categorization, this will adhere to Google Product Search guidelines and holds most importance in optimization. This process is incredibly time consuming, but as stated above, we do map these for your specific circumstances and all future newly added items will adhere to these new categorisations.
Improving and including recommended data – All products will be optimized to include recommended information within both Standard Attributes, these may fall into the recommended or optional categories, however, only those in which TomTheDeveloper’s experience in producing results will be used.
Addition of Custom Attributes – These will be preformed within the monthly management as these require time and research to pull relevant information. As optimization is an ongoing process monthly management is always necessary with Level 4 Optimisation. Within the months in which you are under monthly management with TomTheDeveloper, smaller less vital but still important areas will be targeted through information that becomes available from results and performance changes.
Pricing?
Price Varies on item count, ease in collection of updates, feed itself and current feed status. The management fee is also payable, but once again the price of this is dependant on the fore-mentioned factors also.
What will TomTheDeveloper require from me?
Within our agreement we will set up the easiest access to your feed for upload, if you make regular updates/changes to your feed then we can arrange to pick up your most recent feed through a URL supplied to us, or we can grant you FTP to our server where you can send the feed on an agreed term. Like all reports, we will require a background of your account and any problems encountered along the way and your current traffic levels.

“BuyOnlineNow.com has been working with TomTheDeveloper for more than 8 months now and even though
the office supplies industry has been fluctuating with the market, our traffic from Google has stayed steady
with help from Tom.
As a challenge to the performance of his work, we asked Tom to drop the feed he was managing for
us and reinstate our original feed. We were amazed by the results. In the next couple of days following,
our Google traffic dropped by more than 20%. It was proof to us enough that his help was significant.
In our experience, he and his staff have treated us respectfully and in a timely manner.
He helps us stay abreast of changes with Google base and does well to notify us of errors or significant
changes in our feed that could cause alarm. We are definitely thankful to have his help.”

“Upon completion of my website, I was baffled by how I can promote my products and display
them in a prominent location in this vast world of cyberspace.
In 2 months after working with Tom, traffic to my web site – www.luxuryparlor.com increased by 30%.
Our products can be found in Google Base and are usually placed within the first 3 pages of the search results.
I consider working with Mr. Tom Wilson an excellent investment to get my web site business started and to strategically
place us on the World Wide Web map. Tom’s ability to smoothly process and auto-correct our Google Base Feeds on a
daily basis has resulted in substantial revenue gains… What would take hundreds of hours to master and learn, Tom
offers at a very affordable price. The technology is very reliable and dependable. Within two weeks of setting up,
my products were live on Google Base. Tom’s intensive knowledge of the Google Base gives us a huge
